HELP BRING THE CO-OP TO LIFE

Creating a community-owned grocery store takes all of us working together. Support from community members helps fund startup costs, equipment, renovations, inventory, and the many moving pieces involved in bringing the store to life.

This project is more than a grocery store — it’s an investment in the future of our town.

COMMON STOCK

PREFERRED STOCK

A Common Stock share represents your membership in the cooperative.

Benefits include:

  • One vote in the cooperative

  • A voice in the future of the store

  • Community ownership in the project

Each individual may purchase one Common Stock share.

Preferred Stock shares help provide the additional capital needed to launch and sustain the grocery store.

Preferred shares:

  • Do not include additional voting rights

  • May be eligible for financial return

  • May be purchased without owning Common Stock

  • May be purchased in multiple quantities (not exceeding ownership limits)

HOW IT WORKS

In the coming phases, community members will be able to pledge the amount they are interested in investing.

To hold your place:

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of your pledge

  • Remaining funds will not be collected until the project reaches its initial funding threshold

  • Once that threshold is reached, investors will be contacted with next steps

Our board has spent significant time working through financial projections and consulting with cooperative grocery stores across Nebraska to help create a strong foundation for long-term success.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT

In addition to stock ownership, community members also have the option to make a donation to support the project.

Donations are completely separate from stock ownership and do not affect your ability to invest later.

Donations may be a great option for:

  • Supporters outside Nebraska

  • Individuals not interested in stock ownership

  • Community members who simply want to help support the project
